Greetings to all!
Here I sit in my warm home looking out at the chill of the day. 32% on the outside, but 70% here on the inside. There is just a trace of snow lingering on the lawn, and I feel so blessed to consider how fortunate I am and how the experiences I have been through and the people who have touched my life have contributed to the person I am today. The good times and the hard times add to who we are today, in this present moment. The lessons linger on.
Today I read an article about John Morrow (I invite you to google it), entitled, 7 Lessons from a guy who can't move anything but his face. In this article, John, talks about all the struggles he has been through in his life, and how he never, never, never gives up. For all he has been through, his attitude is remarkable. The choice is always there, complain, be the victim, or accept what is dealt to you in life, and see the blessing in everything. Think of it this way, any event that happens isn't bad, isn't good, it just is. What seems to be a devastating event can turn out to be a blessing in the end. How boring life would be without those occasional detours, those occasional "problem solving" moments.
I admit that sometimes I could do without having to solve them so often, but what I am saying, is that we have so much to be thankful for and we should recognize that.
Many blessings,
Sandy Smith
